SOUTH EL MONTE – Deputies were pursuing a wanted vehicle from a possible burglary at a Wienerschnitzel. After an extended period of time, the deputies requested that CHP take over the pursuit. The pursuit progressed into the South El Monte area, and according to scanner traffic it came to an end when a CHP officer attempted the PIT maneuver and the vehicle lost control, landing in the center median on Rush Street just east of Rosemead Blvd. The officers took the suspect into custody without further incident.
