Record High: Afghanistan struggles to tackle drug addiction, production
Efforts to tackle drug production in Afghanistan have cost the US billions. But still opium production is at a record high. Cooperation between Moscow and Washington served to put pressure on the illegal trade worldwide, but the amount of money pumped directly into Afghanistan had little effect.
