let’s talk about Sacramento County knife Ordinances

in Title 9 called Public Peace, Morals & Safety there is Chapter 9.42 called Dangerous Weapons & Dangerous Articles on County Property there is section 9.42.020CalledDangerous Weapon Defined Defined it states As used in this chapter, “dangerous weapon” includes any instrument or weapon of the kind commonly known as a blackjack, slingshot, billy, metal knuckles, dagger, knife, pistol, revolver, or any other firearm, razor with an unguarded blade, & any metal pipe or bar used or intended to be used in a club. Now the key words are county Property I believe means property controlled solely by the county of Sacramento

Next in the same Title 9 called Public Peace, Morals & Safety there is Chapter 9.40 called Firearms Dangerous Weapons & Dangerous Articles on County Property there is section 9.40.020CalledDischarging in Park Unlawful Defined. it states It is unlawful for any person to use, fire or discharge any shotgun, rifle, pistol, revolver, air gun, slingshot, or any weapon of any kind or character whatsoever within the boundaries of any public park situated in the County or within a distance of 300 feet of the boundaries of any public park So this code is location & distance specific for parks within Sacramento County

in the same Title 9 called Public Peace, Morals & Safety there is Chapter 9.36 called Park Regulations there is section 9.36.060Called Firearms, Air Guns, & Other Weapons Defined. it states No person other than peace officers in the discharge of their duties shall use, maintain, possess, fire, or discharge any firearm, air gun, spring gun, bow and arrow, slingshot, or any other weapon potentially dangerous to wildlife or human safety, except in areas, at times, and under conditions designated by the director for such use. A violation of the provisions of this section is a misdemeanor Firstly though knives are not stated I believe the term weapon could be used to charge you with violation of this code So probably best not to wear one in parks in this county also note this code is location specific that is parks within Sacramento County
