Willam, Detox & Vicky Vox – “Blurred Bynes” – Drag Battle! – LIVE in Detroit – September 25th, 2013
On Wednesday, September 25th, 2013, a drag show of epic proportions took place in Detroit, Michigan. It was called “Drag Battle!” and featured eight different contestants from Logo TV’s smash hit reality show, RuPaul’s Drag Race. The event was held at the Royal Oak Music Theatre in Royal Oak, Michigan, which is a close suburb of Detroit.
The lineup was truly stellar, and included a grand total of nine different drag queens. Eight of the queens were previous contestants from RuPaul’s Drag Race. From season two, fan favorites Raven and Jujubee were both in attendance. Manila Luzon and Alexis Mateo represented season three, while Latrice Royale and Willam were here to represent season four. Season five contestants Roxxxy Andrews and Detox were in attendance as well, and the entire event was hosted by the one and only Vicky Vox.
In this video clip, Willam, Detox and Vicky Vox perform their hilarious parody of Robin Thicke’s smash hit single, “Blurred Lines”. Their version is called “Blurred Bynes” and makes fun of troubled young actress Amanda Bynes. Willam, Detox and Vicky Vox currently perform under the name DWV as well. (Stands for Detox, Willam and Vicky Vox.)
